Pop-Up Exhibition: Expectations Fermentiert meets Ks4fetish

Exhibition Period: November 1 – 30, 2025

This exhibition emerges from a three-week rehearsal process in 2023 titled Expectations Fermentiert.

Within an artistic team of people with and without Korean family backgrounds, an intense exchange unfolded around identity, belonging, experiences of racism, and life between cultures. The process revealed how diverse experiences, levels of knowledge, and perspectives on being German and being perceived as Asian can be – and how complex it is to negotiate these differences within a short period of time.

Out of this process, the group Ks4fetish was formed – a collective of artists with Korean connections who seek to create a space in which Asian diasporic experiences, memories, and narratives take center stage.

The exhibition invites reflection on self-representation, collective memory, transgenerational traces, and belonging. It positions itself as a space for listening, shared remembrance – and as an invitation to shape new forms of connection.

We are happy to share this space with you.
